Fully accredited, international EQA program
External Quality Assessment Services (EQAS) programs are used to periodically assess the quality of a lab’s performance and achieve added confidence in patient test results. Results are objectively compared to other laboratories using the same methodologies, instruments, and reagents. Evaluations help initiate process to identify sources of error across all the analytic testing phases and can be used to evaluate both staff and assay performances. Bio-Rad’s EQAS program gives you access to a fully accredited, comprehensive program, large peer groups, and technical support from our experienced specialists—for an independent and confidential external assessment of your lab’s performance.
Bio-Rad’s EQAS offers several comprehensive programs, including for the areas of chemistry, hematology, immunochemistry, infectious disease, immunology, and blood typing.
As a leader in the development of quality control systems, Bio-Rad’s EQAS programs allow its participants to benefit from our 40 years of experience and knowledge. We offer an integrated workflow for reliability in your patient results.
Our programs are fully accredited to the ISO/IEC 17043:2010 standard and meet ISO 15189 accreditation requirements for EQA help your lab achieve high confidence in test results.
EQAS Online is a web-based reporting option that allows labs to provide updates to contact information, input program and test configurations, and enter data automatically to the EQAS database. It is also accessible from any Internet-connected smartphone. Please follow the EQAS Online setup procedure before accessing the mobile application. Registering allows you to configure your lab information and register tests online or by using your smartphone.
We support all your training needs during your participation in the program through a large library of resources and training videos. Our EQAS sample report review chart offers easy-to-follow steps to help you review your report and interpret flagged results. The report interpretation tool helps you review key elements and interpret your quantitative results. Results are offered in various reports, including sample, end-of-cycle, method summary, and subgroup.
After you’ve registered, you can begin your testing program. When it comes to testing samples and submitting data, we provide your sample due dates in a number of places, including the sample label, product insert, EQAS Online, and the EQAS calendar.
This quantitative report includes comprehensive performance data provided in an easy-to-read graphical format for each reported analyte.
This qualitative report includes peer histograms with color coding to quickly analyze your responses and trend charts showing the last 12 samples.
A supplemental evaluation of your results may be generated against locally mandated or scientific performance specifications.
An overall assessment report of your lab’s performance is provided at the end of each cycle. Statistics include all data points submitted throughout the cycle.
This report provides a summary of individual method performance among participating laboratories and is helpful to evaluate method/instrument performance.
This report is provided in Microsoft Excel format to the designated subgroup leader with each sample close, and all individual laboratories are included.
